At first glance, these incredible images look like still-life portraits of flowers. But far from being drawn in the traditional way, they are created by photographing fast-moving droplets of paint as they fall through the air. Artist Jack Long, 53, spends months painstakingly planning and testing each work before capturing them with a high-speed camera.
The Porthole is the name of the glass infuser for liquids designed by Crucial Detail design studio in Chicago. It was a very successful project on crowdfunding site Kickstarter. Made of iron and glass, the beautiful infusion vessel can be used to make all kinds of drinks, but also as a work of art. Cocktails, salad dressings, coffee, tea and other infusions, all this can be done with The Porthole vessel. Just load it with fruit, herbs or whatever else you want, press the glass plates against one another and pour the liquid through the opening.
Today we want to lift your mood and inspiration by the collection of creative, beautiful and positive photos united by one single theme: rainbow.
