In 1973, architect Ricardo Bofill found an old cement factory in Barcelona and saw in it something more than the average person. The factory, abandoned and partially in ruins, massive reinforced concrete and iron pieces hanging in the air. It's all inspired the architect to create his house right here.
The industrial complex of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, cinsists of over 30 silos, underground galleries and huge engine rooms. He has created an architectural offices here, laboratories and exhibition areas, as well as his personal apartment and gardens.
