Modern, forest church

Info 1
Thorncrown Chapel is located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas (USA) and was designed by E. Fay Jones. It was built in 1980. The creators building the chapel mostly of wood and other local materials minimized the costs of carrying and transporting funds needed for construction. Although it seems that we are sitting in the middle of the forest, the structure of the building is not in the open air. The chapel is covered with a glass, fully transparent facade and also has air conditioning. The building has been included in the list of 25 Buildings of the Year by the American Institute of Architects.
